We will beat your renewal – Guaranteed

The Heritage Insurance guarantee means we will beat your like-for-like renewal quote for your classic car. Naturally there is some legal stuff but there are less of them than you have toes on one foot.

It’s that time of year again

We all dread it but if we want to enjoy our classic cars on the road it is a fact of life that you need insurance. Like you, we don’t like paying more than we have to and so confident are we about our competitive rates that we decided to put our money where our mouth is.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

It’s really very simple. You have a renewal notice with a price. Tell us what your renewal premium is, what you drive, how you drive it and where you keep it – a little bit about yourself and we give you a better price.

THE LEGAL BIT

As with everything in life, there are a few things that need to be considered when doing something as cool as saving you money.

First, quotations must be like-for-like. What we mean by this is you must give us the exact same details in your renewal for example, if your mileage is limited to 3,000 miles, our quote will be for 3,000 miles. This will also apply to your history; if you have made a claim in the previous 12 months, you will need to let us know.

Your classic car must be over 30 years old, so nothing after 1988. Sorry but if your car was manufactured after the release of Die Hard, we can’t include it. Don’t worry though, you can still get a competitive quote from Heritage for all your vehicles.

The guaranteed renewal quote will be subject to our underwriting criteria. This simply means we can only quote for insurance using the criteria of our insurance panel. As these differ from policy type to policy type, i.e. classic car, classic 4×4, classic bike etc. we will make you aware if your current insurance policy falls outside our criteria. Think of it as a health check to make sure you get the right cover.

We may ask for a copy of your renewal invitation. Not always, but we do internal audit checks to make sure everything is as it should be. Crossing the T and dotting the I. Think of it as training and quality control for our team.
