Multi Car in a nutshell
If you’re a classic car owner, but you also have a day-to-day car, a 4×4 or performance car perhaps, plus you drive your partner’s little run around here and there – then you can take out a Multi Car policy with us and cover all the vehicles together.
By insuring every single vehicle in your household on one policy you can forget about different contract renewals, different providers, multiple payments and the time wasted dealing with them all.
How it works
You can take out a Heritage Multi Car policy as long as at least one of your cars is considered a classic or prestige motor.
All vehicles will then be quoted on from the start, so you know your overall premium and can arrange for one payment.
You’ll also benefit from our dedicated account managers who’ll know you and your cars well, ensuring a consistent service, competitive rate and stress free relationship.
You can select different levels of cover for each vehicle, ensuring they suit your requirements, and you get all the private car benefits too, including your No Claims Bonus and European Cover.
Your classic or prestige car (or cars if you’re a collector) will obviously have the specialist cover you’re accustomed to from the experts here at Heritage, including free Agreed Value, limited mileage discounts, club and partner discounts and your choice of repairer.
In fact, the Multi Car policy includes a range of benefits at no extra cost, something found only with Heritage. These include 24/7 claims lines, up to 90 days EU cover and an uninsured driver promise, all extras that the likes of Aviva, Admiral, Direct Line and Churchill charge for.
And remember, as well as classic, prestige and regular cars, Multi Car will also cover modified 4x4s, vans, motorbikes and more.
Do I need to pay and cancel existing contracts?
No. Multi Car is flexible in that it allows you to add vehicles at different times, meaning you can let existing contracts reach their natural ends and then move cars over onto your Multi Car policy at renewal. So no cancellation costs or hidden penalties. In time, all your vehicles will join the policy for hassle free insurance, tailored to your needs.
What if I have to make a claim?
If you have an accident, only the vehicle’s no claim discount is at risk. The other vehicles on the policy will not be affected.
If you have an accident which involves an uninsured driver and it’s not your fault, then don’t worry, your No Claims Bonus won’t be lost nor will you have to pay any excess as part of our Uninsured Driver Promise.
